Decompression Therapy
Decompression therapy is used in the treatment of bulging discs, herniated discs, degenerative discs, disc disease, pinched nerves, sciatica, and arm pain or leg pain can often be attributed to your spine asserting pressure on your discs.
Poor posture, bad body mechanics, repetitive stress and acute injury can cause your vertebrae to compress your discs or to slip out of alignment which then applies pressure to your discs.
Compressed discs lead to two major problems: a bulge or herniation pressing on a nerve; and brittleness of the disc. The problem is often perpetuated because the compressed disc restricts the flow of nutrients to itself which is needed to heal.
Class IV Laser Therapy
Class IV laser therapy delivers specific red and near infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a therapeutic effect within the body. These include increased circulation, decreased swelling, reduction of pain and enhanced tissue repair. About Us
Dr. Robin Owings
Dr. Robin Owings is a native of Greenville, SC and has lived in Charlotte NC for over six years. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. A car accident in college introduced her to chiropractic care and the philosophy that the body can naturally heal itself without drugs and surgery if the body is free of interference. Dr. Owings graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2006 and has practiced in North Carolina since then.
She bought ProWellness Family Chiropractic in 2015, and has become extremely involved in Lincoln County. She is past president of Lincoln County Kiwanis Club, Chairman of the Small Business Council, involved in Business Professional Women’s group and the Lunch Buddies mentoring program at a local elementary school.
Dr. Rob Schick
Being born & raised in southern Ontario, Canada, Dr. Schick received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He subsequently graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia.
Since graduating, Dr. Schick has practiced in North Carolina for 38 years. He has devoted a lifetime to providing the highest quality chiropractic care to his patients. Dr Schick primarily utilizes a variety of manual manipulation & soft tissue techniques in his patient care.
